1. What is OPT laser hair removal?

 

OPT laser hair removal uses the principle of selective photo thermolysis with a patented intense pulsed light source. This means that the melanocytes in the hair follicle absorb light at a specific wavelength, causing heat to the hair follicle and selectively destroying it.

At the same time, the heat emitted is transmitted through the hair shaft to the deeper part of the hair follicle, causing a rapid increase in temperature. This not only removes the hair but also avoids damage to the surrounding tissue.

 

Since the hair follicles are no longer able to regenerate, IPL OPT SHR achieves a permanent hair removal effect.


2. Is Opt better than IPL?


IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a continuous, multi-wavelength, incoherent light with a wavelength range of 420nm to 1200nm. It is possible to select the wavelength through a filter. Therefore, it has the effects of removing pigment spots, hair removal and wrinkle removal. IPL is used to treat skin wrinkles, pigmentation, and telangiectasia caused by photoaging. This technique is also known as photon skin rejuvenation and photon hair removal technique.


OPT (Optimal Pulse Technology), a term that is probably familiar to most people. In fact, the OPT technique is a significant improvement on the IPL. The core of the improvement is the ability to control each pulse with precision, and the energy of each pulse is applied to our skin without degradation. 


As a result, a perfect pulse of energy is formed. OPT IPL eliminates the technical disadvantage of high energy peaks in the first pulses of E light and IPL and the decay of the sub-pulses one by one. This makes OPT particularly effective in the treatment of blemishes, hair removal and skin rejuvenation.

3. Is OPT the same as SHR?


The SHR technique divides the pulses for each flash. One flash, one pulse, each with the same energy. The IPL OPT SHR machine uses the sweeping super hair removal method and can reach frequencies of up to 10Hz.

4. Is OPT hair removal permanent?


Due to the irreversible process of heat-absorbing necrosis of the hair follicles, IPL OPT SHR can achieve long-lasting hair removal results.


Of course, the best results are achieved during the anagen phase of the hair. The more melanin is produced, the more effective the treatment will be.


OPT hair removal is not very useful for receding, resting hair. However, laser hair removal can inhibit the rapid growth of hair in the short term to achieve the intended effect.


5. How many sessions of OPT hair removal are needed?


Hair removal is not something that can be completely removed in one treatment. It is to extract the melanin from the hair follicle first. The hair will only get finer and finer without the melanin, stick to it a few times until it falls out.


IPL OPT SHR generally requires three to six sessions, due to two main factors:


Firstly, Most hair follicles are bundled together in groups of three and open in the same pore. A hair in a pore is the hair that grows from one of the three hair follicles under it, so one treatment can only destroy one hair follicle in one group;


Secondly, hair growth goes through anagen, regression and resting phases. OPT hair removal is 75% effective in the anagen phase, 25% in the regression phase and almost ineffective in the resting phase.
